Above all, we believe in a continuous and innovative creation (year after year) always taking into account the person who will wear, feel and live our garments.
It is our ambition to continue to grow and increase our production and conquer new markets.
We are specialized in the manufacture of t-shirts, sweatshirts, tunics, dresses, shirts, blouses, leggings, and pants using mainly natural materials, namely 100% combed cotton.
Founded in 1997, in the heart of Portugal’s textile region, Barcelos, Givec defined from the beginning as a strategy the development and creation of its own brands and products.
Givec specializes in women’s clothing with a very original visual and creative identity, quality and design.
We are a company with more than 20 years, created in 1997, which was born from the visionary dream of two brothers who combined their knowledge – productive and commercial – and created their own brand.
They conquered the French market with the production of t-shirts, coats and women’s dresses on a 100% cotton basis.
The best-selling product for many years was a t-shirt with a square striped neckline that was even mentioned in Marie-Claire magazine in a coastal town called Carnac. The report ended with the following sentence: “which woman in Carnac doesn’t have her square-necked t-shirt?” alluding to the Givec model.
Our success is the result of the quality of work of our multidisciplinary team.
We believe in continuous training because by valuing our team, we value the quality of our work. We seek to satisfy all the needs of our team, from the quality of the workspace to the availability of the latest tools and technology.
At the turn of the century we decided to build new facilities and started to expand our human resources.
It all started with a team of 4 people but it was soon realized that both the team and the facilities would have to be increased to continue the creation and existing production capacity.
